First Fridays: May Announcements

Amanda Booher - Audubon Dakota

  • Join Audubon Dakota and The Fargo Park District to celebrate Spring Migration with the annual Fargo Birding Festival on Saturday, May 14 from 7am to 11am. The Fargo Birding Festival is held in Forest River Park which is designated as an Important Bird Area (IBA) by the National Audubon Society and Birdlife International, joining a global network of the most important sites for birds. All skill levels are welcome at this free community event. Jack Wood - Growing Together & Tomato Seed Savers Club

  • Every Tuesday starting May 17, the Tomato Seed Savers Club will have over 100 varieties of tomatoes for sale from 2-4 PM at the Gathering Garden (3910 25th Street South, Fargo)

  • Every Thursday starting May 19, Growing Together will have a plant sale from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Catalyst Gardens (1800 21st Ave S, Fargo)

Carrie Wintersteen - Theatre B

  • What will endure when the cataclysm arrives – when the grid fails, society crumbles, and we’re faced with the task of rebuilding? Can art remake a civilization? Mr. Burns propels us forward and imagines a future where Bart Simpson and the pop culture references of one era evolve into the mythology of another. Arlette Preston - Cass Clay Food Partners

  • The Cass Clay Food Partners Food Commission meeting is May 11, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. The agenda is focused on rising food costs and the impact on food pantries. The meeting is held via Zoom.  Learn more at: www.cassclayfoodpartners.com
