For the SEASON 12 kick-off of First Fridays, we welcomed Leola Daul, Joe Swegarden and Jane Matthew from Heart-n-Soul Community Café to share about their organization’s history, mission, impact and future.

Felicity Merritt - FARRMS
FARRMS is hosting a Fargo-area farm tour! Join us for a day of agricultural exploration and celebration at the Fargo Area Farm Tour & Mini Market on Thursday, September 14th. This immersive event aims to connect you with the local food system and the passionate farmers who nurture it. Tickets include bus transportation to the tours with convenient pick-up and drop-off in Fargo, breakfast, lunch, and access to the Mini Market. Meals are thoughtfully prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

Jill Ambuehl - Cass Clay Hunger Coalition
The Cass Clay Hunger Coalition will host a Lunch & Learn opportunity for the school meal re-pack program on September 21st at 12:00pm. The 6th Annual Health & Hunger Summit will be held October 26th at Bluestem Center for the Arts.

Jack Wood - Growing Together Community Garden Market
The Growing Together Cultural Potluck - Indigenous Cultures is Wednesday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Cathedral in Fargo. Learn more & RSVP via Facebook.
Come to the Growing Together Farmers Market every Tuesday 2pm – 6pm at 3600 25th St South in Fargo. In addition to a wide selection of organically grown produce, they have weekly special events.
The Tomato Seed Savers Club meets Tuesdays from 2-4 p.m. and Thursdays from 9-11 a.m. They have 136 varieties they are saving seeds.
Bjorn Solberg - Red River Harvest Coop
Join the Red River Harvest Coop for an on-farm event at Doubting Thomas Farms on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 2-6 p.m. The day includes a farmers market, chef demos, and a savory meal from Heart-n-Soul Community Café, all featuring the local bounty of the season! A fun-filled day celebrating family farms, sustainable food sources, and the economic impact that's created when we invest in our local farmers, ranchers and makers.
